October 2009, Presentation & Live Demonstration from DAC Sponsored AIM (Autodidactic Intelligent Minors) Robotics Team 1123. At the end of DAC’s monthly birthday-celebration lunch, Team 1123 from AIM Robotics visited DAC and provided DAC EOs with an overview of the AIM Robotics program and a live demonstration of Team 1123’s most recent robot. AIM is a dedicated group of students and mentors teamed up together to participate in the FIRST Foundation’s robotics competition. Every January, teams of high school students from all over the country receive identical guidelines for the upcoming competition. They have 6 weeks to then design, build, test, and ship a robot to compete in Regional and then National competitions against other teams’ robots. Team 1123 is mentored by DAC EO Bruce Swett and is sponsored by DAC.
