DECISIVE ANALYTICS Corporation Launches a Green Initiative Campaign for a more Sustainable Workplace while Supporting Local Non-Profit Organizations

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, September 27, 2011 - DECISIVE ANALYTICS Corporation has been promoting a significant Green Campaign throughout all their locations over the course of 2011 in an initiative to become more environmentally conscious and aware. DECISIVE ANALYTICS ongoing Green effort has also enabled them to support Non-Profit organizations throughout the community.

Recycling saves 3 to 5 times the energy generated by waste-to-energy plants, even without counting the wasted energy in the burned materials. The growing IT and office equipment recycling concerns are an issue that DECISIVE ANALYTICS takes quite seriously. According to the EPA, nearly two million tons of used electronics, including computers and televisions, are discarded each year. In addition, an estimated 128 million cell phones are retired from use annually. DECISIVE ANALYTICS has decided to take action to help reduce these statistics by employing the Green Initiative Campaign.

During the months of August and September, 2011, DECISIVE ANALYTICS conducted a company-wide cell phone collection campaign in promotion of the Non-Profit organization, Cell Phones for Soldiers. Cell Phones for Soldiers was founded by teenagers Robbie and Brittany Bergquist from Norwell, Mass., with $21 of their own money. Since then, the registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization has raised millions of dollars in donations and in return has distributed millions of prepaid calling cards to soldiers serving overseas.

“We are continuously overwhelmed by the enthusiastic support of thousands of Americans who have helped our troops speak with their loved ones,” says the teens’ father, Bob Bergquist. “However, the need for support keeps growing as more troops are sent to the Middle East or are asked to serve extended tours of duty.”

“We’re proud to show our support for U.S. soldiers, and to contribute to a worthy cause like Cell Phones for Soldiers,” says Don Tilton, Vice President of the Operational Solutions Sector in Colorado Springs.

The Colorado Springs office recently held their own Office Equipment Recycling Campaign in support of Blue Star Recyclers, a local Non-Profit, who uses the funds generated to create jobs for adults with developmental disabilities in addition to ethically recycling over 1.5 million pounds of e-waste to date. Bill Morris, the founder of Blue Star Recyclers has won numerous community awards such as Colorado Springs Small Business Development Center ‘Person of the Year’ and Blue Star was saluted as Colorado Association of Recyclers 2011 Recycler of the Year.
